Land Rovers went down this afternoon 8 -3 to Infinity in a semi-final match at the Shed of Dreams (pictured). "That's their third victory over us so I'm starting to get an inkling that they have it over us" said Rovers manager Steve Hall. Hall said the Rovers had had a good first season and despite losing to Infinity three times, they had not yet lost to any other team. Rovers are likely to play AMP for third next week, the team they squeaked in against 7 - 6 last time. Land Rovers were competitive today in the first half coming back from 3 - 0 down to be 3 - 2 at half time. "They ran us ragged in the second half when our marking dropped off, but it wasn't until right at the end that they pulled away" said Hall "but I'll be talking to Chairman Rossiter as I think with an investment of $50 million we could strengthen the squad". Hall said it would probably cost six million just to provide Chris Riddle with a bionic leg, and the other 44 million would probably be frittered away on team building in the Bahamas.

"The boys done well. There woz some moments of brilliance, they woz just unlucky on the day. It's a game of two arves.
I was happy with the level of abusive sarcasm and general crowd violence provided by the supporters club, so to celebrate on the way back, we swung by the Infinity Reception area and messed up their neat pile of Ideal Home magazines. I hear the referee was also involved in a fight in the car park with lots of pushing and shoving, but I obviously can't comment on that.
Strategically, going forward, we're planning to take more of a "Hannibal" approach to supporting the boys. So the Supporters Club will be putting in a purchase request for two grumpy elephants with halitosis".
