With the World Cup approaching in a matter of hours, a vote taken with the Land Rovers English contingent decided to throw the full weight of the club behind the England World Cup campaign. "We've had a whip round and unfortunately come up with no cash to send to the English camp" said Rovers Manager Hall "but Lance picked up England in the sweepstake so we're right behind him in winning the lot". Hall said that Chris Riddle picked up the Paraguay ticket and immediately burnt it knowing he had no chance whatsoever. "It was depressing getting that one" said Riddle "especially when I'm picking them to lose the first match by ten-nil".
